Uganda dissemination meeting takes place
The final dissemination meeting took place on 14 June 2018 in Kampala, Uganda.
Approximately 26 people attended the meeting from a variety of organisations, including the National Malaria Control Programme (various sections), DfiD, UNICEF, Malaria Consortium, Infectious Diseases Research Collaboration (IDRC), and PM Malaria.
LINK presented a timeline of all the major historical events in the fight against malaria and a malaria indicator poster demonstrating the inputs, outputs and impact of interventions such as IRS and LLIN distribution throughout the country. A draft epidemiological profile was provided with updated prevalence maps for 2014-5 illustrating the changes since 2009.
A group session was held to see how the information in the new profile could be used to understand malaria control progress in Uganda and there was discussion considering different sources of data in decision-making.
All the new material is available in the Uganda country section.
