Karen Holland

Karen Holland is SHARE’s Administrator, she is responsible for looking after all aspects of administration. Prior to working with SHARE, Karen had over 20 years’ experience at the University of Greenwich

Most of her experience there was in Outreach project management and as an account management interface with Partner Colleges and Schools. She delivered widening access initiatives to encourage the progression of young people and adults from under-represented groups into higher education. Working closely with academic staff she developed a range of activities and programmes such as school and college visits, taster days, study days and summer schools for children and young people, ranging from 7 year olds on a ‘Blooming Minds’ Philosophy programme to induction events for new undergraduates.

Karen was the founder of the University of Greenwich Student Ambassador scheme in 1999 and was responsible for the monitoring and evaluation of outreach activities for reporting to the Office of Fair Access and HEFCE. Karen holds a certificate in Management and a BA (Hons) in Applied Professional Studies from the University of Greenwich.
