About

Although Zambia made great strides in improving access to improved forms of sanitation, an estimated 14% of the population practices open defecation, while and additional 27% of the population uses unimproved forms of sanitation (WHO/UNICEF, 2015).

Zambia became a focus country for SHARE in 2015, and through our partners, we collaborated to produce research on the themes of urban sanitation and WASH and vaccines.

BUILDING KNOWLEDGE. IMPROVING THE WASH SECTOR.

SHARE contributes to achieving universal access to effective, sustainable and equitable sanitation and hygiene by generating evidence to improve policy and practice worldwide.
