Menstrual Hygiene Management in Schools

Sally Piper Pillitteri

About

This project sought to shed light on the MHM challenges faced by girls in schools in Malawi.

Its findings were  shared  at  an event co-organised  by  SHARE  with  the  Urban  Research  Institute in Lilongwe in November 2014, where the formulation of a national policy on MHM in schools was recommended. The study findings were also presented at several dissemination events across Malawi in January 2015, most notably in Lilongwe where the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Drinking Water stated that the findings would assist in their efforts to ensure that the government meets its target of achieving ‘Sanitation for All’.
