This paper by Velleman et al. (2014) published in PLOS Medicine, is authored by scientists and technical experts from leading universities and international agencies and outlines the importance of water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) for maternal and newborn health (MNH) outcomes and calls for greater inter-sectoral collaboration. It was launched at LSHTM on 15th December 2014.
