Mikono Safi: Hand Hygiene Intervention to Optimise Helminthic Infections Control

This briefing note outlines SHARE phase II research to be undertaken by MITU which will assess the effectiveness of a behaviour intervention (including promotion of HWWS) among school-aged children in the Kagera Region of Tanzania in reducing the prevalence and intensity of Ascaris lumbricoides and Trichuris trichiura infections. It summarises the two stages of the project and its intended relevance and uptake.
