Paving the Way to Scaling Up EcoSan

This report summarises a study conducted by Bunda Agricultural College (in partnership WaterAid and SHARE) which aimed to set some building blocks towards scaling up EcoSan in urban and rural Malawi. It documents lessons learned from households’ experiences of EcoSan promotion so as to understand what factors were appealing or deterred them from adopting the technology. The report also offers recommendations for future standards and development of guidelines for the safe management of EcoSan and human compost in Malawi.
