SHARE Scintillates Stockholm

17 Sep 2015

What was it all about?
Organised by SIWI, WWW brings together experts, practitioners, decision-makers, and business innovators from a range of sectors and countries to exchange ideas, foster new thinking and develop solutions to the most pressing water-related challenges of today.

This year, WWW celebrated its jubilee and, in light of the impending expiration of the Millennium Development Goals and the ongoing formulation of new Sustainable Development Goals for the post-2015 period, its theme was ‘Water for Development’.

What did SHARE get up to?
As well as making some important connections for our research, capacity building and dissemination activities, SHARE was delighted to co-convene three side events at WWW that featured some of our innovative research:

  1. Gender and social equity post-2015
  2. WASH and nutrition
  3. Scaling up sanitation microfinance

SHARE researchers, Professor Victor Kasulo and Elijah Wanda, were also invited to present their research from Malawi on private sector involvement in sanitation and hygiene service delivery.

BUILDING KNOWLEDGE. IMPROVING THE WASH SECTOR.

SHARE contributes to achieving universal access to effective, sustainable and equitable sanitation and hygiene by generating evidence to improve policy and practice worldwide.
